What's coming
What we are working on now, what comes next, and how to ask for the law you need. Visitor requests decide what we add first.
In progress
- Stronger evidence for five laws
Re-checking Saudi Arabia (PDPL implementing rules), South Korea (PIPA decree), Israel (local representative bill), the UK product security regime (PSTI) and India (Data Protection Board) against the official texts, so more facts carry a ✓.
I want this - Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein
Making clear on the GDPR pages that the GDPR also applies in the three EEA countries outside the EU.
I want this - Interface in more languages
Urdu and Arabic are live. Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi follow once every menu, tool and result is translated and passes our checks.
I want this
Next
- Laws on our watch list
We add or update a page as soon as these become law or take effect: EU Digital Omnibus (GDPR and Data Act changes), Canada Bill C-36, Saudi PDPL amendments, Egypt PDPL, Pakistan's data protection bill, California automated decision-making rules and India's DPDP Rules.
I want this - More side-by-side comparisons
Comparisons beyond 'law vs EU GDPR', based on what visitors compare most.
I want this
Planned
- More countries in 2027
Our plan is to grow from 20 to about 40 jurisdictions, starting with the ones visitors request. Every new law goes through the same two-source check before it is published, so dates are not promised.
I want this
Plans can change. A law only appears on the site once its key facts are checked against the official text.
Request a law
Tell us which law, country or tool you need. We read every request and use them to decide what to add next.
Recently shipped
- 2026-10-20 — Urdu and Arabic pages: dates, amounts, percentages, article numbers and English facts now always read left to right inside the right-to-left text (for example 2026-10-11 no longer shows as 11-10-2026, and "45 days" no longer as "days 45"). No figures changed.
- 2026-10-20 — New: two comparison pages built from the law library: data breach and incident reporting deadlines in every law, and the maximum fines in every law, each row linked to the law page and its official sources. Law pages now list related laws, and their search-result summaries show the verified maximum fine.
- 2026-10-19 — Data request deadline tool: the note that a GDPR deadline falling on a weekend or public holiday usually moves to the next working day now shows only on EU and UK GDPR results. California (CCPA) results now say only that business-day counts skip weekends but not public holidays. No dates changed. The footer link to GlanceDesk.com is now translated on the Urdu and Arabic pages.
- 2026-10-17 — Urdu and Arabic pages now have their own addresses, so search engines can find them: the Urdu version of a page is under /ur/ and the Arabic version under /ar/ (for example /ur/tools/gdpr-applicability-checker). They work without JavaScript, the language menu opens the same page in the other language, and older ?lang=ur links still work. Legal pages, the change log, How we verify, What's coming and the law-vs-law comparison pages stay in English only, and each translated page says so.
- 2026-10-17 — Urdu and Arabic. Every menu, tool question, result, note and explanation is now available in Urdu and Arabic, right to left, with dates in your language and numbers in Latin digits. The wording follows Google's standard wording for each language, and legal terms follow the official texts (for example ZATCA, MOHRE, HRSD and FBR). English stays the reference version: each translated page says so and links to it, and law pages, the change log and legal pages keep their detailed text in English. Seen a wording problem? Tell us through the contact page. Shareable language links work too, for example ?lang=ur.
