How we verify
Accuracy is the product. Every legal fact on this site comes from a page we opened, is linked to that source, and carries the date it was last verified.
Verification levels
- Expert-reviewed: confirmed from official and independent sources, then checked by a privacy professional.
- Confirmed: the law text or the regulator's own page, plus one independent source, agree.
- Sourced: taken from a reputable page we opened and linked. All laws are at this level or above.
- Being verified: not yet confirmed. Shown as “Being verified”, never as an answer.
Sources we prefer
First the law itself (EUR-Lex, legislation.gov.uk, national gazettes) and the regulator's website. Law-firm guides and trackers are used as second sources.
How often we check
- Monthly: regulator news for every jurisdiction in the library.
- Every six months: full re-verification of every law.
- Within 48 hours: corrections reported by readers.
